RENEWAL OF GSP RESIDENT VEHICLE ACCESS DISC FOR 2012 AND ELECTRONIC CARDS ACTIVATION.

VEHICLE ACCESS DISC
Our office hours will be extended for the next week as to speed up the renewal. If your records are up to date it will take merely a few seconds. We wish to encourage all residents to get the new discs as soon as possible. Vehicle discs are free of charge for all residents, tenants and any staff working in GSP.

Ons wil alle inwoners aanmoedig om gebruik te maak van die verlengde kantoorure om voertuigtekens so spoedig moontlik te hernu. Tekens is gratis vir alle inwoners, huurders of personeel wat binne GSP werksaam is. As u rekords op datum is sal dit eerlikwaar slegs ‘n paar sekondes neem.

ACTIVATION OF ELECTRONIC CARDS
All electronic cards for Arthur- and Werd Streets will be de-activated on Friday evening after 18:00. To activate them you need to show the card at the office – that is all. No phone calls, etc – we must see the card. You as owner or a family member can show the card. Again it will take a few seconds and we promise that they will work on Monday morning.

Please note that electronic vehicle cards for Arthur Street are for members only – that is paid up members. Pedestrians may not use a vehicle card for access. Such cards will be deactivated without notice and an activation fee may be charged. Only the owner of a vehicle card may use the vehicle card for that purpose.

We apologise for the problems with Arthur Street pedestrian cards during the first week or so of January. The problem was not in our hands as the fault was due to moist damage to some wiring. Werd Street was struck by lightning and we had to replace electronic parts and it should work by Monday 7 February. In the long-term GSP management plan to replace the old gate by turnstile gates which is more safe and reliable.

Neem asseblief kennis dat elektroniese voertuigkaarte slegs beskikbaar is vir lede. Al wat u moet doen is om die kaart(e) te kom wys by die kantoor. U as eienaar of ‘n familielid kan die kaarte kom wys. Alle kaarte sal Vrydag om 18:00 gedeaktiveer word. As u die kaarte kom wys sal hul verseker Maandag 6 Februarie weer werk.

Daar is voetgangers wat voertuigkaarte gebruik – dit is onaanvaarbaaar.

Slegs die eienaar van die voertuigkaart kan die kaart vir daardie doel gebruik. Soos hierbo vermeld het ons heelwat probleme gehad met die voetgangerhekke wat buite ons beheer was. Die bestaande hek by Werdstraat sal in die toekoms vervang word met draaihekke wat meer veilig en betroubaar is.

NEW GSP BILLING SYSTEM
GSP directorate has approved a new billing system that will come into effect March/April 2012.

All residents will be billed for security and management services that are rendered. Members cannot carry our expenses alone anymore. GSP is almost a decade old and a lot of water has run under the bridge. We all prosper by sharing the safety and tranquillity in our area. GSP is a much sought after residential area in the east of Pretoria. Old arguments have fallen to the wayside – we are all privileged to life in this area. Yes, we do understand financial constraints but a non-payment offer is not acceptable anymore. We have an open door management style and we will consider your concerns and problems.

It is therefore extremely important to update you contact details at our office.

Die nuwe rekeningstelsel is ‘n poging van GSP om regverdig te wees teenoor almal wat in ons area woon. GSP moes onlangs drasties ledegeld verhoog. Lede alleen kan nie GSP befonds nie. Ons almal gedy in ‘n veilige en rustige woonbuurt. Ou harkoppige argumente het na byna 10 jaar irrelevant geword. Veiligheid in woongebiede in Suid Afrika het ‘n prys – dis ‘n feit. Ja, natuurlik het ons begrip vir finansiële omstandighede en koester altyd ‘n oopdeur bestuursbenadering maar weiering van betaling is nie meer ‘n opsie nie. GSP will graag sy dienste verbeter maar sal altyd vasgepen word deur beperkte fondse. As almal hand bysit kan ons meer vermag en fooie laag hou.
