NATURE AND GOD
I wake in the morning to the guinea fowl’s call,
Or hear the pitter patter as the raindrops fall.
With wonder anew, I hear natures call,
And know that God is near.
While fishing I hear the fish eagle’s cry,
The call of the wild is ever nigh,
And to those who can see and hear,
God’s voice is heard in nature so clear.
In the evening time as I travel home,
The sunset brightens the heaven’s dome.
The colours no artist could ever blend,
Have been put there by my Heavenly Friend.
Nature’s beauty He has given me,
In nature I know that my heart is free.
Free to admire and love what I see and hear,
For in nature, to me, God is always near.

Dear members,
Our spring rains are due any day now, and with them comes the refuse from the gutters leading to the spruit. Those of you who assisted with the cleanup after our first real rains last year will remember the amount of debris that we found in the spruit.
The only way to clean this up is to get into the spruit with gloves and Wellingtons and take it out by hand. Sounds like a dirty job, doesn’t it? Not really!! When you are doing it with a bunch of fellow nature enthusiasts, its fun, because you can see an immediate improvement in the spruit area and realize what you are doing is for the benefit of ALL our residents. Home owners, and denizens of the spruit area included. This does NOT include squatters!!! Why not you ask? Well, when we clean up we also identify their illegal camp sites and with the help of the police, we have managed to remove some of them, thus making the spruit area safer for families to enjoy a walk in our God given natural surroundings.
We will be having another spruit cleanup as soon as we have a good few days of rain to clean the gutters. Watch this space for notification of time and date.
For those of you who love nature and appreciate what our God has given us, I include a poem, entitled Nature and God.
Until next time
KEEP IT KLEEN
